Glory Joy Christian Church Missions Committee is set up under the purview of the Deacons Board to fulfil the Great Commission commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19-20.
19"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Led by a Church Deacon, the Committee comprises of members from both the English and Chinese Congregations.
We believe strongly that Missions is not limited to work done by the missionaries but is the responsibility of all God’s people as well.
The Missions Committee organises the annual Missions Convention which is in August every year to educate members about Missions. Short-term missions trips overseas are also organised to expose members to the missions field.
Being affiliated to Christian Nationals’ Evangelism Commission (CNEC), we support the work and ministries of CNEC within Southeast Asia as well. Church members who serve full or part-time in missions organisations also receive support of various forms from the church.
